SpotterXV has been designed to extend nature observation beyond the hours of daylight. The NiteSite XV can be easily fitted to any day use spotting scope enabling it to be used in complete darkness to clearly observe wildlife up to 100 metres (110 Yards)* away.

It converts your spotting scope into a powerful night vision system that is quick and simple to set up. It utilises infrared in a unique way making it more affordable, reliable and user friendly than traditional light amplification technologies.

Quick and easy to fit to any spotting scope

The true beauty of a NiteSite is that it converts any spotting scope into a powerful night vision system that is quick and simple to set up.

Indeed, from opening the carry case to night vision ready status takes just 60 seconds once you are familiar with the set up.

All NiteSites are equipped with adaptable fittings that enable mounting onto virtually any make and size of spotting scope. Just mount the unit, switch on and you're ready.

Simple as that.

Maximum versatility and clarity for the night time nature observer

The Spotter XV is the perfect night vision unit for any nature observer, delivering high quality, clear night vision through any day vision spotting scope. It achieves this using a powerful infrared illuminator (invisible to to people and animals) to literally illuminate the target area immediately in front of where the spotting scope is pointed, allowing clear wildlife identification up to 100 metres (110 Yards) away.

The infrared image is then captured through the spotting scope by a camera attached to the scopes eyepiece and then viewed via the units integral 3.5 inch LCD screen.

Understanding the components of a NiteSite

All NiteSite spotting scope mounted models operate on the same basic principle with variations to performance and specification across the range. This infographic will help you to understand what each component of a NiteSite does, how it fits into the system and what is specific to this model.

A. IR Illuminator module

The scope mounted module houses a powerful (IR) illuminator delivering a range of up to 100 metres (110 Yards). An ergonomic dimming knob on top of the unit allows accurate control of the illumination power to reduce flare for closer range spotting. The hooded front has an inset protective lens cover.

B. LCD viewing screen

The Spotter XV delivers crystal clear night vision through its 3.5 inch LCD display screen. Allowing the observer to identify wildlife up to 100 metres (110 Yards) away from their position, even in zero light conditions.

C. Saddle bracket

This removable plastic sleeve attaches to the spotting scope with a Velcro strap ensuring that the illuminator module stays firmly in position.

D. IR camera module and Flexible Sleeve

The rugged module houses an infrared (IR) frequency camera with audio. To record, you will need to purchase the Recording Camera module (sold separately).

A rubber sleeve provides a secure, stable connection from the scopes eye piece to the camera unit. The heavy-duty rubber construction is flexible enough to stretch over most spotting scope eyepieces.

E. 2Ah scope mounted lithium-ion battery

The 2Ah lithium-ion polymer scope mounted battery provides up to 7.4 hours (XV) and 6.5 hours (XW) at typical usage (IR at Half Power). It has an adjustable Velcro strap for easy fastening to your spotting scope.

F 6Ah scope mounted lithium-ion battery
